Start with the items that regularly run out
Choose the everyday products that interrupt work when they disappear: gloves, discs, wire, tips, chemicals, gas and cleaning supplies. There is no need to catalogue the entire business on day one. An initial list of regularly used items gives Sam a practical starting point for a repeat supply discussion.
Agree quantities and a sensible review cycle
Share your approximate weekly or monthly usage, preferred product references and any seasonal peaks. Frequency and delivery arrangements depend on location and availability. Repeat supply is an agreed ordering routine; it should not be assumed to include automatic stock monitoring, guaranteed replenishment or a fixed price.
Keep exceptions easy to communicate
Add urgent or one-off items to the next enquiry and flag changes before an order is confirmed. If workload rises or a team changes products, update the reference and quantities. Ask Sam to confirm any account terms or delivery charges so the routine is clear from the outset.
